Trendy Magazine Review

So the first issue of 'Trendy' has come out. So I thought, why not do a review on it? So here it is. (Too many so's -_- so,so,so,so,so!)

I am going to do a review of every page, it is probably best that you get the magazine in another tab so you know what page i am talking about. (click here to go to Trendy magazine).

Page 1 (cover) - I have to admit, i really do like this graphic. I love magazines with themes and a cover to show the good quality that is good inside and this has a theme and a good quality cover, so i love it! Ahaha. The lights look really good and i can't see any major faults. I also think the dress looks good with all the line details.

Page 2 - This has a little note from the editor, nothing really interesting. Has she done that drawing on the left herself or got it off google images? I really don't know.

Page 3 -  The graphic is alright. Not quite sure what that thing is on the left of the bag and there seems to be a bulge on the right side. Not quite sure if that was done on purpose or what. Also there is a slight fault with the right foot making it look slightly weird.

Page 4 - Just a random page saying what is coming in the next pages.

Page 5+6 - I really like these pages with just enough text to describe what you are talking about but not too much that you can't be bothered reading it. I also like the real life picture examples but maybe they could of put a stardoll example as well.

Page 7+8 - Love the layout of this page but the text is a tad small. You have to squint to read it. I love the outfits shown on the page, they look really effective. I think that on page 8 they should have titled the trends like they did on Page 7.

Page 9 - I like this graphic. Instead of focusing o the outfit it focuses on the make-up (which is understandable because the next pages are on make-up tutorials). I like the shading and think overall it is a nice page.

Page 10 - The background and layout look particularly good on this page. The make-up tutorial looks nice too. I think this is one of the best pictures.

Page 11 - To be honest, i'm not a big fan of this graphic. There is just something about it that doesn't appeal to me. I'm not sure if this is just me.

Page 12 - I love this graphic, although i would prefer the dress to be tighter. I do really like the black and white though, with just the streak of red at the side.

Page 13 - I think this is the worst graphic in the magazine to be honest. The girl looks really ill and
the dress doesn't look right. I don't think that the line under the eyes were necessary.

Page 14 - Omg! I want that hair on stardoll! I love it. The clothes on the model are gorgeous but i just noticed something, on the box in the bottom left corner she has missed out the 'r' in 'Alexander'.

Page 15 - This might be a page to introduce the next pages or just a random page saying designers. There is some little graphics on this page that you can't really see properly but they look alright and i like the backgtound.

Page 16 + 17 - These pages say the story of Burberry. Due to the font, sometimes you can't read some words but i am glad they they have included some writing because there is hardly any throughout the magazine.

Page 18 - This is a good graphic, it really represents Burberry. The belt doesn't look that realistic but apart from that, i like it.

Page 19 - This is a good way to end the magazine with a simple 'Happy New Year'. Overall, i think this magazine is really good but i think the theme of the new year should have been right the way through the magazine with just some exceptions but Trendy magazine is probably better than most other magazines. Well done!

Till next time... Goodbye!

What Do Other People Think Of Stardoll?

So we see lots of children in Stardoll that love the site and always saying how much they love it as well. For example...
To be honest, i would of left stardoll ages ago without the blogging world, but i guess it is a good website for people that like making a load of outfits and buying memberships and teens that are competitive and want to win it all. (covergirl, catwalk, album winner ect. ect.) Although we have a lot of people that like stardoll and spend lots of money on it, they soon get bored and all that money ends up going to waste. So what do people outside of stardoll think of the site?
Straight away i can see that this site thinks that it is better for older members. I carry on reading because i wonder why. As they say, isn't it dress-up doll fun? Surely that is better for under 10's?
First of all, i see loads of under thirteens that don't have any protection. It is so simple for kids to lie about their age. Also, for parents, stardoll seems like a kid-friendly site so of course they are going to let their child go on it and they won't care about protection settings. Then it say that kids and teens need to be careful about who they talk to. Honestly, i really do believe with this statement. Although you see this little kiddies site with pink and purple backgrounds, anyone can go on this site. This is what i don't get, why do parents let their children on Stardoll but then don't let them on Facebook? Is it because the way it looks? Or is it because on facebook they have an age limit? So why doesn't Stardoll have that? Or, if they would rather it was a kiddies site then maybe they shouldn't let adults on it.
That really made me laugh out loud! Positive messages gets the same as sex? Wtf? I definitely agree with the language bit...

What could they mean by sex. Hmmm.. lets look at the males on Stardoll...
And then how people react to the males...
I think that is what that site means by sex.

Moving on, let's see what some of the users have said about our dollyworld...

Not the best reviews...

So that was just a little insight to one review site about Stardoll and even then i didn't out all the bad stuff on. Altogether, there was definitely more bad stuff than good stuff. So why are we all addicted to this site? Find out in my next post! Till next time... Goodbye!

Stardoll turning into a porn site?

A lot of bloggers try to make graphics and some of them succeed and make amazing graphics but some of them are just like... no.

The ones that i am talking about are the naked/semi-naked graphics. Like these:

Some people try to cover some inappropriate graphics up like putting this:

But seriously? Ten years old's that see this will straight away click the Read more link because they will be interested and want to know what could possibly be bad for them to see...
Stardoll is a kids dress-up game (as Yet another anonymous blogger kindly pointed out!), a lot of kids also get into the blogging world as well and when they see graphics like this they will either be very terrified or think that it is 'cool' to make graphics like this so they will have a go. (eek!)

I am assuming that the older members have made this, so they should think, 'would they want to show this to an eight year old?' because that is basically what they are doing! If they really want to make nude graphics then they should put it on a personal blog with invited readers only! When a little kid goes on a graphic website they want to see fashionable people with clothes on to inspire them.

Also you have got to remember that stardoll looks at our blogs and to be quite onest with you they will be pretty peeved by people turning stardoll into a porn site. They made it as a virtual game for 'fame, fashion an friends' - Porn is not included in there!

So, why do people make these graphics? Well i guess they are older than other people on stardoll and this is what appeals to them, i got quite a lot of these off stardoll-ntgd, so maybe they think that it is easier to make naked graphics so then they don't have to design any clothes! I really don't know what this world will turn to in a couple of years when even more people like this kind of stuff! Till next time... Goodbye!

I thought stardoll was a site for kids/teens? Oh my god.

Hi guys.
I'm Yet Another Anonymous Blogger (literally)

This may seem tight but recently I have been looking round stardoll and I have seen 30 year olds on stardoll. Yes, 30 year olds. Lets face it. Stardoll is a kids site, and I'm not going to lie, I am a kid (less than 18) Going on your stardoll when your 18+ just seems rather pathetic. I'm not even old and I get ashamed to admit I go on stardoll. I don't even come on THAT much. But come on. Dressing up an online doll, does that sound adult to you?

f.iliz age: 21
Is it just me but aren't people of that age meant to be going out and having a good time?

REGARDS,

Another one...

I've been looking around recently and nearly all the gossip blogs have shut down and don't post anymore, so i decided that we need something to stir up the blogging world - another anonymous blog! All the other ones have shown their identity so i thought that i would give a whack at it. How long this will last for, i really don't know.

Will you guess who i am? I really doubt that to be honest! There are loads of stardoll members out there that blog about gossip or news and i don't really think i will tell you who i am anytime soon. I might add some writers a bit later who you can gossip about on your own blogs, but all this will come in due time.

Most people don't like anonymous people. For example, MDM shut down because of anonymous commenters but to be honest with you if you are not anonymous and you post something bad about something or someone then you will just get a load of hate in your guestbook. If you are anonymous then they can only put hate in the comments and to be honest, Who cares about them? Also, secretly inside, i know you all like to read posts about bitching about other people (unless it is you!)

The reason i have decided to hide my identity is because i like the thrill of you not knowing who i am and to be honest it gives all you lot something to gossip and wonder about. I hope i can find something to write about. And till next time... Goodbye!
